I've never understood the Media Temple fanaticism. Yes they go to a lot of effort in server specs but so does every other quality web host. The only difference is they document it ad nauseam. I run a small Australian based web host and you just don't cancel a account. If a client's resource usage is higher than their allocated plan, you contact them and work through it. I can recommend Layered Technologies and HTTPme as brilliant hosts for dedicated servers.

If you guys' find another host, I'd be interested in your feedback on them. I was on dreamhost, but their reliability was horrible - I've been on media temple for some time, and although they've been reliable; I've found their support to be wishy washy (haven't used that term since I was a kid), and their features seem overpriced for the services I'm getting. I just need unlimited domains, unlimited mysql, php 5+, the basics, and a decent amount of space from a reliable company and I'm happy:)

BTW, Check out http://www.sachost.com for hosting. I've been with them for years, great prices, great support. None of that big time corporate gahbage. Mediatemple is a little trend....you're cool if you have the "MT" logo on your site ;)
