Been using MAMP for a year or so now, before on my PC I was using XAMPP. It's a great tool for sure.

Recently I started using Locomotive alongside MAMP. Locomotive is very easy to use and I've even had success installing the HAML plugin to use with it.

According to many, Locomotive is great until you need to do more advanced things. But so far I haven't run into any walls. Good luck!

I've been using MAMP and Locomotive for a while now, but I have yet to find a similar solution for Python/django. Good thing you found it, MAMP really is a life saver :D

Locomotive should be very easy to get working.
